Christie Grace has been described as a multi talented renaissance woman earning a reputation as an entrepreneurial artist. Her natural talents encompass songwriting, singing, jewelry design and goldsmith. For the past 22 years her innovative designs have delighted clients. In the 70’s and 80’s fine galleries throughout Canada, and Southern California including the Vancouver and Victoria Art Gallery shops and The Craft House Gallery on Granville Island showcased her work. For over a decade Christie traveled throughout BC and Alberta attending all the finer craft shows, including nine successful years at the West Coast’s most prestigious "Circle Craft Christmas Show” at Pan Pacific. These hands on experiences with her clients enabled Christie to understand exactly what women wanted. This tradition continues in her spectacular new studio which boasts a marvelous view along with an elegant, warm surround. Christie’s love for jewelry began as a young child - fascinated with the exquisite antique jewelry worn by her aristocratic grandmother, Grace McCullough. As Christie matured her initial fascination turned from playful hobby to her profession as she initially began experimenting with antique buttons and exotic beads. Through perseverance and drive she eventually progressed into the challenging ancient medium of precious metals. Grace is an honors graduate from the renowned GIA: Gemological Institute of America in Los Angeles, CA and The Revere Academy in San Francisco, CA. She privately studied with two accomplished Master goldsmiths and she attended the Taos Institute of Arts in New Mexico and the New York Institute of Arts in New York City. Her classic foundation in ancient goldsmith skills has been integrated with pearl stringing and contemporary necklace techniques enabling Grace's works to span a wide range of styles and complexities. She is increasingly being sought after for her one of kind custom designs.
